The Adams County Community Foundation manages a variety of scholarship funds, ranging from those that support college students to those that are available for a variety of educational pursuits.

Students at Bermudian Springs High School are eligible for these scholarships. 

To be eligible for the Adams Electric Cooperative Scholarships the student must be a senior in high school and have at least one parent or guardian currently receiving electric service from Adams Electric Cooperative, Inc. with an account(s) in good standing and the parent or guardian must live in Pennsylvania at the time of the student's application for a scholarship. Scholarships are offered to students planning to enter traditional and Career and Trade Schools. 

The Eddie Horst Memorial Scholarship is open to any graduating student in Adams County who is planning a career in music. Eddie Horst was a graduate of Biglerville High School whose career in music included writing arrangements for Bruce Springsteen and others. The scholarship was established by Eddie's family and the members of his graduating class.

The Emma M. Duttera Scholarship is open to any graduating senior residing in Adams County, although priority is given to graduates of Littlestown Senior High School. The applicant may be any male or female who is planning on entering the Protestant Ministry.

The Walter P. and Anna Griest Memorial Scholarship is open to any graduating senior residing in Adams County, although priority is given to graduates of Bermudian Springs High School. It was created by Jean Brannock from the estate of her father, Walter P. Griest. The scholarship is open to a student who is preparing for a career in an agricultural related field. The applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

The Harold L. Griffie STEM Scholarship, (renewable for 4 years) established by a grateful BSSD alumnus, is open to any Bermudian Springs High School senior who wishes to enter a 4-year college or university in pursuit of the study of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, also known as STEM disciplines.

The Dale R. King Memorial Scholarship is open to a graduating senior, or a graduate of Bermudian Springs High School, who is pursuing a career in an agriculture field. 

The Julie Ann Lochary Scholarship is open to any graduating girl residing in Adams County, although priority is given to graduates of Littlestown Senior High School.  It was established in 2014 in memory of Julie Ann Lochary, a 10-year-old student at Rolling Hills Elementary School who passed away in September 2013 after battling brain cancer. The scholarship is open to any girl who has been active in the 4-H program. The student may be attending any 2 - 4-year post-secondary degree program at a college or technical school.

Dr. Ronald Krablin Scholarship is open to any graduating senior residing in Adams County, with financial need, pursuing a degree in the healthcare profession. 

The Elizabeth Ferciot Roby Art Scholarship was established by her daughter, Marcia, and her husband Todd to recognize a student or adult pursuing post-secondary education at a school, college or university in the field of art, preferably studio art, but other forms of art such as photography, sculpture, or pottery may be considered.

The Rosemary J. Tawney Scholarships were established by the will of Ms. Tawney and are open to graduating seniors at Bermudian Springs, Littlestown and New Oxford High Schools who are pursuing a course of study in any medical related field. Applicants must demonstrate good academic performance, service to school and community, and motivation toward educational and career goals.

The Margaret Trew Cline Foundation Nursing Scholarship is awarded to an Adams County high school senior who intends to pursue a course of study in healthcare at a post-secondary school.


Students at Biglerville High School are eligible for these scholarships.

The Thomas E. Arnold Scholarship is open to a Biglerville High School student pursuing post-secondary education in the field of history. The student will demonstrate financial need, have high academic performance, show community involvement and demonstrate strong interest in history as indicated by enrollment in advanced history classes, and work above and beyond the instructor's requirements such as participation in National History Day Competition.

The Henry Barberis III FFA Scholarship supports a graduating senior of Biglerville High School who is a member of the FFA Club and is pursuing a career in agriculture including horticulture, agriculture economics or other such subjects related to agriculture.

Biglerville Healthcare Education or Trade Scholarship is open to a Biglerville High School student pursuing a degree in a healthcare or trade field. 

The Biglerville High School Business Award is a scholarship to a graduating senior at Biglerville High School pursuing a degree in a business-related field.

The Canner Awards Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior with high academic performance, financial need and showing community involvement.

The Mary Sue Cline Scholarships are open to a graduating male and female at Biglerville High School. This scholarship was created to honor retired Biglerville High School Teacher Mary Sue Cline. The applicant must be a resident of Adams County for a minimum of two (2) years, be a student of the Upper Adams School District for Junior and Senior years, present evidence of acceptance to a post-secondary school pursuing a business, vocational or technical program requiring no more than two (2) years of study.

The Ray & Violet Flickinger Scholarship is open to an Upper Adams graduating senior in good standing with financial need, good character, good citizenship & a cooperative attitude with teachers and other personnel in school.

The Berne C. Hart Technical School Scholarship was established by his sister to honor her brother who was a Biglerville student. The scholarship will be a one-time $5,000 scholarship to a student enrolling in a technical school for post-secondary education leading to employment.  The applicant must demonstrate high financial need, good academic performance, part-time employment during high school and a high motivation to have a career and be self-sufficient.  Technical courses during high school are a requirement.

The Kermit Jacoby, Jr. Scholarships were established with by Evelyn G. Jacoby in memory of her son Kermit L. Jacoby, Jr. a gifted athlete and Big 33 participant who passed away in 2002.  These scholarships are open to a graduating male and female at Biglerville High School who have earned at least three varsity letters in two sports. The applicant must have a GPA of at least 85% and he/she must have exhibited outstanding character, sportsmanship and leadership in athletic endeavors.

The Mildred Walters Leader Memorial Scholarship is open to a graduating senior at Biglerville High School pursuing a degree in the Social Sciences. High academic performance and community service must be demonstrated.

The Luella Musselman Paul Scholarship was established by Tom and Gina Arnold in 2010 to honor his mother, Luella Musselman Paul, for her dedication to the community; to her company, the C. H. Musselman Company; and to her family. This scholarship is open to a graduating senior at Biglerville High School who demonstrates need, high academic performance and community involvement.

Students at Fairfield Area High School are eligible for these scholarships.

The Albert J. Lentz Post 202 American Legion Scholarship is open to graduating seniors at Fairfield Area High School. The scholarship is based on financial need, academic scholarship and service to school and community.

Fairfield Alumni Scholarship is open to a graduating senior at Fairfield Area High School who has been accepted to a trade school, community college, two-year college or four-year college or university. The student must have 2.5 GPA. 

The George B. Inskip Memorial Scholarship is open to a graduating senior at Fairfield Area High School who plans to pursue a career in teaching, nursing, or other health related field. The scholarship was established in 1966 by the children of George B. Inskip in honor of his many years of leadership to the Fairfield Schools.

Dr. Ronald Krablin Scholarship is open to any graduating senior residing in Adams County, with financial need, pursuing a degree in the healthcare profession.

Martin Memorial Math Scholarship (renewable for 4 years) was established by "Prof" Martin's family to honor the long-time teacher and coach in the Fairfield Schools.  Applicants must demonstrate good academic performance (particularly in math courses over the four-year high school career), service to school and community and motivation toward educational and career goals. The scholarship will be continued over 1-4 consecutive years.

Elizabeth Musselman Memorial Scholarship was established to honor Elizabeth's (Class of 1959) dedication to the Fairfield Schools. The applicant must be a positive role model, should have made significant contributions to the Fairfield school and community, possess strong family ties and be active in his/her church.

Greg Richardson Athletic Scholarship was established by his parent's, Del and Tynia. Greg was an athlete who attended Fairfield Area Schools and finished high school at Gettysburg.  One month after graduation in 1994, while vacationing in Florida, Greg lost his life at the hands of a drunk driver. The scholarship is awarded to an athlete at Fairfield Area High and at Gettysburg Area High Schools who will be pursuing post-secondary education and athletics.

Named in memory of Michelle Rene Louey, an accomplished pianist and 1987 graduate of Littlestown High School, this merit-based award is for students with an interest in the performing arts. (A declared major or minor is not required.)

The Rotary Club of Littlestown Scholarship is open to Littlestown Senior High School students attending at least an accredited 2 year, but preferable 4-year, post-secondary educational program.  The student should exemplify the values of Rotary, such as Service Above Self, the Four Way Test or be a participant in Rotary's Interact program.  The student should demonstrate financial need as well as good academic performance and service to community, school and/or church.

Dennis Runk, CPA (Class of 1969) and Family Scholarship will award two scholarships to graduates of Littlestown High School.  One scholarship will be offered to students attending an accredited two- or four-year college, with preference to those studying accounting or attending Clarion University of PA.  The second award will support a student attending trade school.

Sherry (Krom) Amig Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a New Oxford High School student who demonstrates leadership, community service, high motivation, and involvement in school activities.  The student can attend a college/university, trade, or professional school.  The scholarship is in memory of Sherry Amig who worked in the Guidance Office of New Oxford High School as a para-professional with responsibility for scholarships.

Henry Barberis III FFA Scholarship is awarded to to an Adams County senior who is a member of the FFA Club and intends to study agriculture at a post-secondary school. 

Conewago Valley Scholarships Graduating students from New Oxford High School can apply for multiple scholarships based on need and/or merit.

Dalton Cole Schriver Memorial Scholarship was established by Dalton's mother, Dee Schriver, and is open to a graduating New Oxford High School student who was active in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) for at least one year, has a financial need and plans on attending a 4-year, 2-years, or tech/trade school. 

The Rosemary J.
